Bodéntruppen / Limited Silkscreen Prints
For my solo show at the Mighty Tanaka Gallery in Brooklyn we released these two limited silkscreen prints. Edition of 25 pcs each, 19x25 inches, 3 silkscreened colours, signed & numbered.

The One Man Army
New solo show in New York. At the Mighty Tanaka gallery in Brooklyn.
Opening June 15th 2012. New artworks and some little new limited items for you hunters.
Yellow Fellows
Prepare for my upcoming show in Brooklyn, NYC.
Finally i will have these handmade keychains in yellow color-way available. Again super limited because of all handmade by the famous Muffinman (Thanx for making this happen so short in time!).
Also there is another yummy yummy tasty special figure on the way... so be there!

Bodéntruppen
Just working on a series of canvases for my upcoming show. My first tribute/remix on Vaughn Bodé's famous cartoon world. Like almost all writers i grew up with his characters. Honestly not by his reading his original comic strips in first but by seeing the figures painted by graff writers on trains and walls. I saw "Lizard" stuff in Munich in around '88 done by a writer named "Lancy/Lency" on the city's river bridges. So in the first moment i thought the "lizard" figure was his character haha (damn, need to find those photo print from back in the days... guess they are somewhere in my old hidey-hole....).
Bodé's illustrations are such a big part of the graffiti visual world and they have been adapted so often i never dared to get my hands on it. And using pop cultural icons for your own artwork can be easily become very tricky, cheeky and dodgy. But as Lizard‘n‘Wizard are a common but also my personal heritage i wanted to work on some tribute at last. Hoping this clash of my Teddy Trooper boys and Bodé‘s world is good enough to make it something acceptable unique than just copycat repainting his visuals what is however still legal.
They all will be up next month at my show. So, Brooklyn be ready for some Fortress‘ Bodéntruppen*! More details on the exhibition soon....

Fatcap Release Party @ Sixxa / Vienna
Gonna be in Vienna this week. Come over to the Sixxa store&gallery for the release party of Kidrobot's new Fatcap vinyl toy series. Will be there with some new works and signing any piece of vinyl, paper or beer coaster.

Another issue of the SERIGRAPH groupshow at the Vicious Gallery here in Hamburg/DE. It is all about limited silkscreen prints. Opening February 28th 2012 from 8pm.

Was für ein gelungenes Wochenende! Auf der eigenen Ausstellung rausgeflogen.... Nuts an alle alten & neuen Dullies, Doadln und Tschabos!
Warz, ECB, Boogie, Hera&Akut, Kakao77, Soten, Tiws, MadC, PeachBeachers, Omsk and everybody else we paid their beers!
Nach 5x McDonalds gabs dann wenigstens zum Schluss beim Griechen noch gebratene alte Bergsteigerstiefelsohlen mit Tzatziki.
Haven't had my camera with me cause instead i had beer in each hand so see more photos of the HALLENKUNST opening night here at JUST's blog.
